PRINT In the room hangs a print.What happens when printed photographs collide with live images? Past and present converge in a layered visual encounter.

HAND In the room lays a projected hand.A still image is never still. Forms shift and transform, questioning whether an image can ever truly come to rest.

BOX In the room stands a box.A silent exchange unfolds between viewer and unseen performer, as images appear and fade in a continuous flow.

Charlotte Bouckaert brings photography and performance together in an exploration of seeing and imagining. What happens when a photograph transforms before your eyes? When the presence of a spectator (BOX), a performer (HAND) and the interplay of print and projection (PRINT) keep an image in motion? This work invites you not only to look at a picture, but to experience the process behind it. With her triptych, Charlotte Bouckaert explores the ways in which images are created and investigates whether images can ever truly be completed.

These live installations are presented at Museum M (Leuven), Kunsthal (Ghent), De Ververij (Ronse) and, for the first time as a complete triptych, during Beyond the Black Box festival atde Brakke Grond, Amsterdam (2026).
